Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival - July 4, 2012 - Pigeon Forge, Tennessee


Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival Pack up your family and join the fun July 4th in Pigeon Forge, TN at Patriot Park to celebrate America's birthday! Special headline entertainment this year will include John Anderson and The Lovin Spoonful among many others.

Your family will absolutely love to celebrate Independence Day in the beautiful Smoky Mountains at the 22nd Annual Patriot Festival. Festivities will kick off at 1:00 p.m. on July 4. The Patriot Festival is FREE and open to the public. The Patriot Festival spans and afternoon and evening of great food, games, entertainment and a firework finale! Patriot Park is located on Old Mill Street at traffic light number 7 behind the historic Old Mill. Take advantage of the city parking lot on Teaster Lane with a trolley shuttle going to Patriot Park. At 1:00 in the afternoon, the Kids Carnival begins. Kids will love the free Kids’ Karnival zone with inflatables and games.

Stand and participate in "Veterans Salute."  Veterans appreciate the military salute at the Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival. We can never thank them enough. The community of Pigeon Forge is always finding special ways to honor soldiers who served their time of military service. Businesses decorate with red, white and blue to celebrate America. The annual Patriot Festival is a great way to celebrate Independence Day and show appreciation for all men and women who serve.

Sample a rich variety of foods for sale by local organizations. From churches to scout troops, the city of Pigeon Forge has no shortage of great cooks who sell their local delicacies for the benefit of the local community. Whether you crave a corn dog or a cupcake, the Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival is a great place to discover the flavors of the Smoky Mountains.

Crowds love to sing every lyric to John Anderson's songs which are best described as "pure country."  Today, he is considered to be one of country music's most authentic performers with a collection of songs that reflect heart and soul of traditional mountain values. From the fun "Just-a-Swingin" to the inspirational "Seminole Wind," you will be glad that you got to experience John Anderson in concert.

Everyone knows The Lovin Spoonful song "Do You Believe in Magic." The original group performed it when they were inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. The music is groovy, and you will be dancing before you know it. Famous also for their hit "Summer in the City," The Lovin Spoonful will be enjoyed by all who celebrate the 4th of July in the city of Pigeon Forge.  

After the performances, the Pigeon Forge night sky will come to life with a fantastic fireworks display. The fireworks usually start at 9:30 to 9:45 p.m., so keep your eyes on the skies. You won't want to miss this display in Pigeon Forge July 4th while we celebrate our great nation.
